Centre for Ethnic Studies and Research (CESR) is a registered academic society vides Reg. No. RS/KAM(M)263/J/24 of 2015-2016 established on 31st January, 2015 with an objective to organise seminars, conferences, workshops, meetings, demonstrations, public campaigns on various ethnic issues. It also publishes magazines, research journals etc. Which provide a platform for all social scientists including young scholars for exchanging ideas and opinions on issues related to socio– economic, political, ethno-cultural and historical problems. CESR has regularly been publishing a half yearly peer reviewed journal having ISSN2395- 5171 entitled “Journal of Humanities and Social Science Research” (JHSSR). It has also acted extended collaboration in a seven day ICSSR NERC sponsored national workshop (offline) on “Human Rights Education in North East India: Issues and Challenges” organised by R. G. Baruah College, Guwahati from April 29th to May 05, 2019. During this pandemic period of COVID–19, another one week Online International Workshop on “Governance and Development: Issues and Challenges” organised by Centre for Ethnic Studies and Research, Guwahati, Assam in collaboration with Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), NERC from 22nd August to 28th August, 2020. The CESR has incessantly made a serious attempt to organise a number of webinars on ethnic issues and workshops so that the academicians and research scholars could get benefitted by it. The upcoming seven days national online workshop on “Human Rights Education: Issues and Challenges in North East India” is a modest attempt towards this direction for which your kind co-operation as a collaborator is required.
